Jiyoung Oh holds a Doctorate from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she was awarded a Chancellor’s Fellowship to study with the late Menahem Pressler. She earned her Master’s degree in Music from the Eastman School of Music, after completing a double undergraduate degree in Economics and Music.
As an active performer and collaborator, she has appeared in the Kennedy Center Chamber Players Series, the Cartography Project at the REACH, and NSO Preludes on the Millennium Stage, among other collaborations with musicians of the National Symphony Orchestra. She also performs regularly as a keyboardist with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
Jiyoung has taught on the faculties of the Levine School of Music, James Madison University, and Lewis & Clark College, and served as a teaching assistant at Indiana University. She is frequently invited as a guest clinician, teacher, and adjudicator.
A passionate advocate for community engagement through music, Jiyoung is dedicated to creating meaningful connections through education, performance, and collaboration.
